Scholarship Details

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) awards a limited number of scholarships to LAS undergraduate students who secure an unpaid internship with a non-profit or governmental employer; on-campus positions will not be considered. Student teaching is not eligible for this scholarship, however there is a separate scholarship available for student teaching. Recipients will need to enroll in an internship course for course credit or R-credit and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.

Applications will be reviewed shortly after the May 5th deadline and late applications will only be considered if funding allows. You will be notified if you receive the scholarship within two weeks of the application deadline. Recipients who enroll in credit-bearing courses during the semester of their unpaid internships will have the scholarship applied to their UBill in that semester. Recipients who do not enroll in credit-bearing courses during the semester of their unpaid internship will have the scholarship applied to their UBill for the prior or subsequent semester when credit-bearing courses are taken.

Please contact LAS Career Services (lascs@iastate.edu, 515-294-8691) with any questions.
